    Good Afternoon, Ramsey District Members –

     
    Here is our weekly summary of offences and incidents affecting your community, reported to police during the period 11th to 18th March:

     
    Vester’s Drove, Ramsey Heights – Intruders broke through a padlocked metal gate to enter a farmyard on Vester’s Drove, at some time overnight on Thursday 11th / Friday 12th March. They then broke into a barn and damaged and moved a forklift truck, stole power tools from a storage container and a Ford Transit van being stored in the barn. (Ref 35/14402/21)

     
    Daintree Road, Ramsey St Mary’s – Police received a report of a vehicle behaving suspiciously on Daintree Road on Saturday morning, 13th March. The black VW estate with two occupants was seen coming down a private road, parking up and watching several houses. When they realised they had been spotted, they drove off at speed. (Ref CC-13032021-0191)

     
    Park Road, Ramsey – A teenager on a blue off-road motorbike was spotted riding dangerously along Park Road on Sunday morning, 14th March, not wearing a helmet, reportedly speeding and doing wheelies. (Ref CC-14032021-0114)

     
    Forty Foot Bank, Ramsey Forty Foot – Police received a report of a black car with men and dogs, suspected of hare-coursing, seen on fields near the Forty Foot Bank on Thursday evening, 18th March. Countryside Watch was notified but unfortunately no police patrols were available in the area to investigate at the time. (Ref CC-18032021-0394)

     
     
    And Finally – Rural Crime in Cambridgeshire:
     
    Rural Crime includes activities such as:
    • hare-coursing;

    • poaching;

    • horse-related crime;

    • illegal fox hunting.


    Police and the Rural Crime Action Team (RCAT) work with Countryside Watch, Horse Watch and Boat Watch to tackle rural crime across the County.
