Dear Resident, What a month it has been for our Neighbourhood Support Team. Here are some of the highlights from the past month: A 24-year-old man was arrested for a number of offences after making off from officers in Dogsthorpe and colliding with another vehicle. He was eventually stopped in Eastfield and found to be in possession of Class A drugs.Officers located a stolen vehicle abandoned in Newborough after it failed to stop. While the driver was no longer at the scene, the vehicle has been seized and will undergo forensic examination.A 33-year-old man was arrested in Hampton on suspicion of driving while under the influence of cannabis after failing a roadside drug test.A 22-year-old man was arrested after officers identified him discarding a quantity of suspected Class A drugs in Lincoln Road.Officers recovered a large quantity of cannabis, along with machetes and a Taser, from a vehicle abandoned in Eastgate. Further searches carried out by response officers led to the discovery of suspected Class A drugs.In addition to these incidents, the team has also: Assisted other police forces with warrants in Peterborough.Supported the district by arresting seven priority suspects.Conducted numerous safeguarding visits to vulnerable individuals identified as being at risk of cuckooing and exploitation, working closely with partner agencies to provide support and protection.Assisted other departments with warrants and responding to calls for service. This activity represents just some of the work carried out by the team over the past month, alongside their ongoing efforts to tackle crime, safeguard vulnerable people, and support local communities.
