    Good Afternoon, Ramsey District Members –

     
    Here is our weekly summary of offences and incidents affecting your community, reported to police during the period 10th to 16th February:

     
    Field Road, Ramsey – Police are investigating an incident reported to have happened on Field Road on Thursday afternoon, 11th February, in which a dog being walked by its owner’s family was attacked by two other dogs on leads, resulting in injuries to its head requiring veterinary attention. The family were also frightened that the dogs might turn on them. (Ref 35/8635/21)

     
    New Road, Ramsey – Thieves stole a metal anvil from the garden of a house on New Road at some time on Thursday afternoon, 11th February. At the moment no-one has reported witnessing the theft or noticing anything suspicious in the area at the time. (Ref 35/8316/21)

     
    Little Whyte – Police took a suspect into custody on Saturday 13th February following a report of a very drunk male causing a disturbance on Little Whyte, shouting in the street, trying car door handles, banging on the door and window of a house and behaving in a threatening manner. Whilst in custody he was arrested for possession of cannabis when a small quantity of the substance was discovered on his person, together with a grinder. (Refs 35/8723/21 and 35/8730/21)

     
    Broadall’s Drove, Ramsey Forty Foot – Police searched the area around Broadall’s Drove on Tuesday morning, 16th February, following a report of suspected hare coursers seen in the area. Two men with dogs and a dark coloured four-by-four were spotted and last seen returning to their vehicle and heading towards Ramsey Forty Foot. (Ref CC-16022021-0070)
     

     
    And Finally – Police Survey on the Use of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) Systems:
     
    Cambridgeshire Police are running a survey to get the public’s views on the use of ANPR systems in the County.
     
    ANPR is used to alert officers to stolen vehicles, vehicles involved in crime, or to help locate missing people. The data they collect can also be used in investigations. You can help shape the future of ANPR by completing the anonymous survey and sharing your views at the following link:
