Good Afternoon, Upwood and The Raveleys District Members –

Here is our weekly summary of offences and incidents affecting your community, reported to police during the period 17th to 23rd February:

Ramsey Road, Kings Ripton – Police were called to a collision between two cars at the Little Raveley junction on Ramsey Road on Thursday afternoon, 18th February. One car failed to stop, driving away but leaving debris including its number plate behind on the road. However, it was later found nearby, crashed into a bush with airbags deployed and lights on, but no-one around. Officers attached ‘Police Aware’ stickers whilst attempts were made to trace the registered owner and carry out a welfare check. (Ref CC-18022021-0304)

Huntingdon Road, Upwood – A foreign-sounding male dressed in black who knocked on the door of a house on Huntingdon Road and frightened the occupants by talking incomprehensibly was located by police and driven into Huntingdon, on Friday evening, 19th February. (Ref CC-19022021-0453)

Upwood Road, Ramsey Heights – Police were contacted by a driver who had got into an altercation with a cyclist on Upwood Road, Ramsey Heights, on Sunday morning, 21st February. The driver had cut up the cyclist, but when he stopped to apologise, the cyclist had become irate and damaged the driver’s vehicle. Police made several attempts to obtain further details, but were unable to contact the victim. (Ref 35/10363/21)
