    Alert message sent 26/03/2021 13:05:00

Information sent on behalf of Cambridgeshire Constabulary

Good Afternoon, Ramsey District Members –

Here is our weekly summary of offences and incidents affecting your community, reported to police during the period 19th to 25th March:

High Street, Ramsey – There was a break-in and burglary at a community building on Ramsey High Street in the early hours of Saturday 20th March. An intruder used a crow-bar to force open double doors and left shortly afterwards. However two suspects returned some time later and stole a strimmer and some cleaning products. (Ref 35/16382/21)

Hollow Road, Ramsey Forty Foot – A parcel left by a courier delivery company was stolen from outside a house on Hollow Road on Saturday lunchtime, 20th March. A second parcel left at the same time was received, but although both were shown as delivered, the first parcel was not received. (Ref 35/17152/21)

Chapel Road, Ramsey Heights – Police received a report of two dogs dangerously out of control at a nature reserve on Chapel Road on Sunday evening, 21st March. A couple walking their small dog on a lead were frightened when two large dogs ran across and behaved threateningly towards their dog, forcing them to pick it up for protection. The dogs' owner called them back but did not put them on a lead, so one of them returned for a second time. Fortunately no human or dog was injured in the incident. (Ref 35/17366/21)

Neil Way, Ramsey – Police seized and towed away a black Mini found at Neil Way late on Thursday evening, 25th March, when checks showed that the driver had no valid licence. (Ref CC-25032021-0474)

    Appeal For Information:

Police are appealing for information after aircraft equipment worth hundreds of thousands of pounds was stolen from a hangar at Upwood Air Park on Ramsey Road, Bury, late on Monday evening, 22nd March.

CCTV shows five people in a black Ford Transit van breaking into the premises at around 11:40 pm. A picture and more information is on the police website at:
