    Alert message sent 14/03/2021 13:58:00

Information sent on behalf of Cambridgeshire Constabulary

Good Afternoon, Fenstanton District Members –

Here is our weekly summary of offences and incidents affecting your community, reported to police during the period 7th to 13th March:

Park Close, Fenstanton – Intruders entered a building site at Park Close at some time between Friday evening, 5th, and Monday morning, 8th March, and interfered with a mobile welfare unit, attempting to turn it around and causing an amount of damage in the process. It is presumed that this was part of an attempt to steal the unit. (Ref 35/13466/21)

And Finally – A Warning About Catalytic Converter Thefts:

Police have issued a warning about catalytic converter thefts, following 40 incidents being reported across the County in the last month:

“In less time than it takes to make a cup of tea, they’ll go onto a driveway and strip the vehicle of the precious metal and be on their way to the next victim.

“Toyotas and Hondas have predominantly been targeted, but other vehicles including Lexus, Mercedes, Mazda and Volkswagen have also been singled out.
