Dear Members,

Please see below a list of crimes that have been reported between Wednesday 17th February and Tuesday 2nd March;

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

On Thursday 25th February between 00:50 and 01:10 a garden gate was damaged to a property in Bedford Street.

Should you have any information with regards to the incidents above please call 101, extension 8624. To provide information about crime anonymously to the police, please call Crimestoppers, an independent charity, on 0800 555 111.

Over the last few weeks we have seen an increase of thefts of Catalytic Converters within Cambridgeshire and have launched a special operation to help tackle such crimes. There are dedicated officers patrolling the streets and many enquiries are being made across the county.
Please see below some advice to keep your vehicle safe:

Mark your converter with a unique code so it’s harder for thieves to sell
Approach your dealership for advice about fitting a Catloc or another protective device
Park with your exhaust close to a fence, wall or kerb to reduce the risk of theft
Install a 24-hour dashcam
Purchase a driveway alarm
Park in a well-lit area, ideally covered by CCTV
If your catalytic converter is bolted on, consider having the bolts welded to make removal difficult.
