Information sent on behalf of Cambridgeshire Constabulary

Good Afternoon, Warboys and Bury District Members –

Here is our weekly summary of offences and incidents affecting your community, reported to police during the period 10th to 16th February:

B1040 Warboys / Bury – Police were called to the B1040 between Warboys and Bury on Friday morning, 12th February, where horses and foals had escaped from a field and were wandering along the road. One foal in particular was very distressed and endangering itself and passing traffic. With help from members of the public, the horses were eventually rounded up and returned to their field, which was made secure. However, the condition of some of the horses caused concern, and steps were taken to safeguard their welfare. (Ref CC-12022021-0114)

High Street, Warboys – A police patrol stopped a suspicious car entering a car-park on Warboys High Street late on Friday evening, 12th February, following up on a report of young people gathering at the location, potentially in breach of Covid-19 regulations. A search of the vehicle revealed an assortment of Class B drugs, which were seized for analysis. Investigations are continuing. (Ref 35/8684/21)
