  • Moped owners urged to be vigilant

    Alert message sent 03/02/2021 15:45:00

Information sent on behalf of Cambridgeshire Constabulary

    Dear subscriber,

Police are urging moped owners to take extra precautions after reports of thefts and anti-social behaviour in the Stanground area.

Over the last eight weeks there have been seven incidents involving mopeds, which includes two mopeds believed to have been stolen and the recovery of another.

People are urged to remain vigilant when considering their vehicle security, with advice including securing their mopeds and purchasing locks and CCTV cameras or video door bells.

Any moped thefts or suspicious activity should be reported to police via the online web chat function here or report online by clicking here. Those who do not have access to the internet should call 101.

For more advice visit the force’s dedicated web page on vehicle security here.

    Thank you,
    Corporate Communications
