    Good Afternoon, Upwood and The Raveleys District Members –

     
    Here is our weekly summary of offences and incidents affecting your community, reported to police during the period 24th January to 1st February:

     
    There are no crimes to mention in this week’s Policing Update, but police have responded to several road traffic incidents in the District this week:
     
    • Sunday 24th January - A141 Oldhurst – A car left the road and crashed into a ditch. No-one reported to have been hurt. (Ref CC-24012021-0061)

    • Sunday 24th January – Abbots Ripton – A car left the road and crashed into a ditch. No-one reported to have been hurt. (Ref CC-24012021-0228)

    • Monday 25th January – A141 Wyton / Warboys – Police discovered a car in a ditch by the main road, locked and secure. Attempts were made to contact the registered owner, and ‘Police Aware’ stickers and tape were attached. (Ref CC-25012021-0009)

    • Monday 25th January – Upwood Road, Great Raveley – Police received reports that a car had left the road on a double bend, crossed a ditch and ended up in a field. A police patrol attempted to locate the vehicle but fortunately a farmer had already come to the driver’s assistance and towed the car away. (Ref CC-25012021-0288)

    • Monday 25th January – Wistow Road, Kings Ripton – A black van was found abandoned on a bend on Wistow Road, causing a dangerous obstruction. Recovery services were called to tow it away. (Ref CC-25012021-0316)

    • Friday 29th January – A141 Wyton – A white Transit van was seized and towed away when checks showed that it had no valid road tax. (Ref CC-29012021-0219)
