    Good Afternoon, Upwood and The Raveleys District Members –

     
    Here is our weekly summary of offences and incidents affecting your community, reported to police during the period 30th November to 6th December:

     
    Farm Close, Upwood – A horse-box type trailer that was previously reported stolen from Ramsey was found abandoned on Farm Close, Upwood, on Tuesday morning, 1st December. (Ref CC-01122020-0111)

     
    Huntingdon Road, Upwood – Police and the Fire Brigade were called to an incident on Huntingdon Road on Tuesday evening, 1st December, where a single car had left the road and crashed into a ditch. Fortunately the driver escaped unhurt but the car caught fire and the road was closed for a time whilst the emergency services dealt with the situation. (Ref CC-01122020-0352)

     
    Raveley Road, Woodwalton – Police found a suspicious car parked on a farm track off Raveley Road on Tuesday evening, 1st December, and noticed the smell of cannabis coming from inside. A search revealed a bag of a green herbal substance hidden under a seat together with two grinders and a set of scales. One person was subsequently issued with a Conditional Caution. (Ref 35/81671/20)

     
    Upwood Road, Little Raveley – Thieves broke into a barn on Upwood Road on Tuesday evening, 1st December, and stole a leaf-blower and a chainsaw. CCTV recorded pictures of two vehicles arriving at the barn and the intruders cutting through a bolt and a padlock to force open the large metal sliding doors. After taking the two items, the vehicles are seen driving off in different directions. House-to-house enquiries have been made and investigations are continuing. (Ref 35/81664/20)

     
    Farm Close, Upwood – Thieves removed and stole the tail-gate from a Ford Transit tipper truck whilst it was left parked on Farm Close at some time overnight on Monday 30th November / Tuesday 1st December. (Ref 35/81760/20)

     
    High Street, Upwood – Thieves stole a white VW van from the driveway of an address on Upwood High Street at some time overnight on Thursday 3rd / Friday 4th December. The van contained a large number of its owner’s work tools. (Ref 35/82229/20)

     
    Hart Road, Upwood – The number plates from two cars left parked on the driveway of a house on Hart Road were stolen at some time overnight on Thursday 3rd / Friday 4th December. (Refs 35/82268/20 and 35/82319/20)
     
     
     
    And Finally – Covid Restrictions over Christmas:
     
    The Tier-2 Restrictions that now cover the whole of Cambridgeshire will be relaxed over the Christmas period from 23rd to 27th December. During these 5 days it will be possible to form a ‘Christmas Bubble’ made up of a limited number of friends and family.

    There are three main rules about Christmas Bubbles:
     
    • You can only be in one Christmas Bubble;
       
    • You cannot change your Christmas Bubble;
       
    • Your Christmas Bubble must not include people from more than 3 households.
