    Good Afternoon, Somersham District Members –

     
    Here is our weekly summary of offences and incidents affecting your community, reported to police during the period 25th October to 1st November:

     
    Warboys Road, Pidley – Thieves stole a septic tank, a cement mixer, and a large chop saw and stand from outside a house on Warboys Road, Pidley, on Friday evening, 30th October. The occupants heard noises coming from outside and discovered that a section of fencing had been taken down and site gates broken open so that the thieves could gain access to the items. (Ref 35/74060/20)

     
    East Street, Colne – Police arrested a person for drink-driving after a car crashed into parked cars and a wall on East Street, Colne, on Sunday evening, 1st November. (Ref CC-01112020-0453)
     
     
    Police Appeals for Information:
     
    Assault in Ramsey:
     
    I am repeating this appeal from last week, as the picture of the suspects was not initially included on the web-site – my thanks to the Ecops subscriber who pointed this out to me, well spotted! The picture has now been put up – if you recognise the suspects, the police would very much like to hear from you.

    Police are appealing for information following an assault that happened outside The Jolly Sailor pub in Ramsey on Wednesday morning, 14th October, in which one of the victims was knocked unconscious.

    Stolen Telehandler:
     
    A telehandler (piece of heavy machinery) was stolen from a farm at Moat’s Way, Hemingford Abbots at some time between Monday afternoon, 26th, and Tuesday morning, 27th October.
     
    Police are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to contact them via the 101 non-emergency number or the web-site reporting tool, quoting Incident Number 136 of 27 October.
      
     
    Stolen High Performance Cars:
     
    Police are also interested in finding three high performance cars recently reported stolen. These are:
     
    • Audi A3, white
       
    • Audi TT, black
       
    • Mercedes CLA 220, black
     
    Please contact the police if you see any cars like these in suspicious circumstances.
     
     
     
    And Finally – New Covid-19 Lockdown Regulations:
     
    The whole of England enters a new Lockdown from Thursday 5th November. We are all asked to stay at home, avoid meeting people and only go out for essential purposes.
