SOUTH CAMBS WARRANTS
On 9th March we seized cash and drugs from a property in Bassingbourn following a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
A 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs and later released under investigation.
On Sunday we executed a warrant under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act in Cottenham and visited an address in Rampton.
To help keep our communities safe, we encourage you to look out for common signs of drug dealing and let us know if you see anything suspicious.
Unusual activity could include people coming and going from an address and at odd times of the day and night, strange smells, windows covered up or curtains closed and cars pulling up near to a house for a short period of time.
If you have noticed any of this type of activity and suspect drug dealing at a house or in your area, please report to us online www.cambs.police.uk/report or call us on 101. You don’t have to tell us your name, just what you have seen. Your information could be vital.
Like you all, we are keeping up to date on the news surrounding the spread of Covid 19 (coronavirus).
We’re following the advice being issued by Public Health England and would urge everyone to do the same.
It is a rapidly developing situation and we will continue working closely with Public Health England and partners to make sure police officers and staff have up-to-date guidance and advice.
Guidance has been issued to all police forces based on information from Public Health England. We are not anticipating a worst-case scenario, but the public would expect us to plan for it. There are tried and tested plans and procedures to ensure we can continue to provide critical services in times of increased demand or if there are staffing capacity issues.
As and when there are any updates regarding Covid 19 and policing we will update you.
