Weekly Policing Update - Warboys and Bury District

Good Afternoon, Warboys and Bury District Members –
Here is our weekly summary of offences and incidents affecting your community, reported to police during the period 20th to 26th September:
School Road, Warboys – A red Citroen car, left parked outside its owner's house on School Road, Warboys, was damaged at some time during the night of Friday 20th / Saturday 21st September, by someone who broke off the driver’s side wing mirror, leaving it hanging by the electric cables. Rowdy behaviour by a group of people was heard during the night, which may be linked to the incident. (Ref 35/67651/19)
RAF Upwood, Bury – Police were contacted by security staff monitoring a construction site on the disused RAF Upwood base on Saturday evening, 21st September. CCTV had caught images of two intruders who had entered the site and were seen climbing about on the construction machinery. However, all was quiet when a police patrol arrived to check the site. (Ref CC-21092019-0350)
Valiant Square – Police received a report of a group of children on bikes being a nuisance in the Valiant Square area of Bury on Saturday evening, 21st September. The children had been knocking on doors and shouting at residents before riding off. (Ref CC-21092019-0493)
RAF Upwood, Bury – Police received a report of a group of eight cars seen parked suspiciously at the disused RAF Upwood site on Sunday afternoon, 22nd September. However, there were no reports of anti-social behaviour or other offences. (Ref CC-22092019-0261)
Mill Road, Wistow – Police were called to Mill Road, Wistow, on Tuesday morning, 24th September, where a car had left the road on a bend and turned on to its side. Fortunately no-one was hurt but the road was closed for a short time whilst recovery services towed the damaged vehicle away. (Ref CC-24092019-0155)
Puddock Road, Warboys – Police received a report of hare-coursers seen on land off Puddock Road, Warboys, on Tuesday afternoon, 24th September. Three men with dogs and a silver off-road vehicle had been seen, but they had then moved away and left the area. (Ref CC-24092019-0278)
