    Our ref:  35/7684/19

    Distraction Burglary: Green End, Stretham, CB6 3LE
    Sometime between 11:30 hrs and 13:00 hrs on 01/02/2019 an unknown male has engaged with the victim by claiming he was from the water board convincing the victim to let him enter the property and has stolen 2 handbags, a building society book, a NatWest visa debit card, 2 passports and house keys as well as £50.00 in cash before leaving the scene in a white vehicle. No details known of this vehicle.

    FOLLOWING ON FROM THIS…..PLEASE LOOK OUT FOR VULNERABLE AND ELDERLY NEIGHBOURS AND REMIND THEM NEVER TO LET STRANGERS INTO THEIR HOMES AND ALWAYS CHECK FOR ID; THEN IF STILL IN DOUBT, CALL THE ‘COMPANY’ THE VISITOR IS REPORTED TO BE WORKING ON BEHALF, TO CONFIRM THEIR LEGITIMACY FOR KNOCKING.
