Good Afternoon, Upwood and The Raveleys District Members –
Here is our weekly summary of offences and incidents affecting your community, reported to police during the period 7th to 13th September:
Raveley Road, Great Raveley – Police received a call reporting suspicious noises and lights in fields off Raveley Road, Great Raveley, late on Saturday evening, 8th September. The sound of dogs had also been heard and the suspicion was that poaching was taking place. However, no details of vehicles were available but police issued a general alert to patrols in the area to be aware of the incident. (Ref CC-08092018-0532)
Longholme Road, Upwood – Police received a report of three motorbikes, a car and a van being driven around private tracks off Longholme Road, Upwood, early on Thursday evening, 13th September. The noisy engines were causing a disturbance to livestock in nearby fields. However, the vehicles had left the area when police checked back with the caller a little later in the evening.
