Rave equipment seized and three arrested |

Dear Resident, Residents may be aware that officers attended an illegal rave at a farm building in Litlington during the early hours of Sunday, 18 October. Following reports of the event, officers attended and used dispersal powers to prevent further people entering the area. More than 200 people were dispersed from the site, while music equipment and vehicles were seized. Three people were also arrested in connection with drugs offences. We can now provide an update on the outcome of those arrests. One person has been charged with drugs and driving offences and is due to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court next month. Two others, who were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs, have since been issued community resolutions. Illegal raves can cause significant disruption to local communities, generate noise nuisance and place additional demand on emergency services. We would like to thank local residents for their patience and support while officers dealt with the incident. We will continue to take action where offences are identified and work to minimise the impact of such events on our communities. Kind Regards, Inspector Simon Birch South Cambridgeshire Neighbourhood Team | ||
