June wrap-up from your Neighbourhood Policing Team

Dear Resident,

What a month it has been for our Wisbech Neighbourhood Team!

Throughout June, officers have been busy responding to community concerns, carrying out enforcement activity, and working with partners to help keep Wisbech a safe place to live, work and visit.

Some of the team's highlights from the month include:

Tackling community concerns around anti-social vehicle use and car meets

Carrying out days of action targeting drug use and dealing in Wisbech alongside other neighbourhood teams and departments

Conducting nine stop searches, resulting in seven positive drug finds

Making 11 arrests for a variety of offences

Seizing two bicycles and numerous vehicles

Issuing more parking tickets than we can count!

The team was also joined by the Chief Constable during patrols of the town, providing an opportunity to showcase local policing activity and meet with partner agencies who work closely with us to address community concerns.

All of this work has been carried out alongside regular neighbourhood patrols, crime investigations, and community engagement events.

As we move into July, the team will continue to focus on the issues that matter most to local residents. Their current priorities are:

Drug supply, possession, and associated anti-social behaviour in Wisbech

Homelessness and associated anti-social behaviour, including street drinking, in Wisbech

Anti-social behaviour linked to car meets, including dangerous and anti-social driving in and around Wisbech
