Don’t make it easy for burglars

Dear Resident,

With the scorching weather this week, we’re asking Neighbourhood Watch to help us spread some simple crime prevention advice.

Whenever the warm weather comes around our officers notice properties left with windows open when nobody is at home. 

Unfortunately, burglars are often opportunists and an open window can give them easy access.

If you’re heading out, or spending some time in the garden, please:

•  Close and secure your windows and doors

•  Keep valuables out of sight

•  Avoid advertising you’re not at home

It only takes a moment, but it could prevent a burglary.
