Dear Resident, Two men have been charged in connection with violence in Littleport. Police were called to Wisbech Road at about 7.50pm on Monday (18 May) with reports of violence. Two men were, aged 28 and 58, were treated by paramedics for stab wounds and were taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. They have since been released from hospital. A 20-year-old man from King's Lynn and a 21-year-old man from Littleport, have today been charged with two counts of attempted murder and possession of a knife in a public place. They are due to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court today. We understand this will have caused concern locally, however we would like to reassure the community that this was an isolated incident and there is no wider threat to the public. Kind Regards, Sergeant Mat Lupton-Pike East Cambridgeshire Neighbourhood Policing Team | ||
