Dear Resident,
A burglar who damaged multiple vehicles at a Peterborough car auction has been jailed.
Adam Dunn, 37, went to City Car Auctions, in Bakewell Road, Orton Southgate, at just before 6am on 19 July.
He got into the building via a fire exit, setting the alarm off in the process. He walked down a corridor kicking multiple doors, before punching a control panel and leaving empty handed.
He returned twice more, and on the third occasion smashed the windows of multiple vehicles on the forecourt.
Staff called the police and Dunn (pictured below), of Hinchcliffe, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, was arrested. On Monday (27 April) at Cambridge Crown Court, Dunn was jailed for two years, having admitted two counts of burglary, criminal damage and theft from a motor vehicle.
You can read more about the case on our website.
Kind regards,
Tim Goddard Communications officer
