Dear Resident,
For the first three months of this year your City Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team have been busily working on their priorities.
Tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) has been a key area, with officers conducting more than 500 hours of patrols to help combat the issue. Nine people have been charged with breaching Criminal Behaviour Orders (CBO) and ten warning notices for anti-social behaviour (ASB) were also issued.
We’re pleased to report ASB fell by almost 20% compared to the same period last year.
Another key area was tackling crime linked with early evening economy. Again, patrols in hotspot areas played a key role. As a result, officers conducted stop searches, made arrests, used dispersal orders and worked with other departments to ban persistent offenders from the city centre.
The team’s new priorities for April-June include: Disrupting repeat anti-social behaviour (ASB) offendersIncreasing visibility within the retail sectorTargeting ASB on the Embankment. In June we will be holding a quarterly priority meeting where you can raise any ongoing concerns and help influence the issues the team focuses on. The date will be sent out via this email system – it’d be great to see you there.
