Closure orders for Cambridge homes

Dear Resident, 

Two neighbouring properties in Cambridge have been issued with three-month closure orders following concerns about anti-social behaviour. 
 

Cambridge Magistrates’ Court issued the order closing 2 Bury Court, Stone Street, Cambridge, CB1 2RX on Tuesday (7 April) following an application from Cambridgeshire Constabulary’s Cambridge Neighbourhood Team.
 

A full closure order was granted, and the property will be closed for three months.
 

On the same day, the court issued a partial closure order to 1 Bury Court, Stone Street, Cambridge, CB1 2RX following another application from the neighbourhood team.
 

PC Jared Tsourous, from the Neighbourhood team, said: “People living near these properties have had to put up with months of anti-social behaviour.

“The court has now issued closure orders which we hope will help to address the issue, by preventing people committing anti-social behaviour and other criminal offences from entering the properties.”
 

The full closure order to 2 Bury Court states the premises be closed in accordance with the Anti-Social Behaviour and Policing Act 2014. No one is permitted to enter except the landlord and the emergency services until 6 July.
 

The partial closure order to 1 Bury court states the premises be closed in accordance with the Anti-Social Behaviour and Policing Act 2014. No one is permitted to enter except the tenant, the landlord and the emergency services until 6 July.
 

If anyone is found on the premises unlawfully, they render themselves liable for arrest.
