Community update – Cambridge Quarterly Meeting |
||
|
Dear Resident, Thank you to everyone who attended our meeting last night. For those who couldn’t join, here’s what was discussed: New priorities for the next three months: Vehicle-related anti-social behaviour across the district, particularly in Queen Edith's Way and Babraham Park and Ride. (Have your say on plans to introduce a Public Spaces Protection Order here) Updates on previous priorities: Vehicle-related anti-social behaviour (particularly around Fitzroy Street) Action: Area continued to be adopted by Operation Dante with dedicated uniform patrols at key times. Almost 250 illegal e-scooters and e-bikes have been seized in less than 12 months. A number of Acceptable Behaviour Contracts have been served to young people causing anti-social behaviour. Knife crime Action: Under the initiative of Operation Guardian, officers have been making positive interventions with those known to be knife carriers. They’ve also worked with schools, youth organisations and partners to offer education and preventative advice. 📅 Next meeting: Online on 8 June at 7pm Kind Regards, Inspector Shawn Emms Cambridge City Neighbourhood Team
