Dear Resident, Thank you to everyone who attended our meeting on Monday evening. For those who couldn’t join, here’s what was discussed: New priorities for the next three months: St Neots Youth related anti-social behaviourSpeedingKnife crimeSt Ives Anti-social behaviour in green spacesCollaborative working with local partners to address concerns in Wyton-on-the-HillKnife crimeHuntingdon Knife crimeAnti-social behaviour in Yaxley particularly around the green spacesAnti-social behaviour in the Oxmoor focusing on vehicles, mopeds, off road bikes, drug useUpdates on previous priorities: Huntingdon Reduce instances of anti-social driving in the Yaxley area Continued patrols in the area, vehicle stops and seizures where appropriateCross-border and agency working with the northern neighbourhood teams, Road Policing Unit, Rural Crime Action Team and Huntingdonshire District CouncilTarget ongoing ASB in the Yaxley area Reports focus around the green areas and parks where groups of people are congregating along with vehicles. Patrols will continue, particularly over the school holidays. Reduce instances of anti-social driving in the Huntingdon area Patrols have focused on the areas around the Oxmoor where complaints have been received of bikes and mopeds being driven anti-socially on roads and on green areas and playing fields. Where suspects have been identified, officers have utilised their powers to seize the vehicles and issue S.59 warnings to those responsible.Target ongoing ASB in the Huntingdon area Police and partner agencies continue to meet regularly to discuss high demand individuals within the town centre and issue sanctions such as community protection warnings where appropriate. Patrols continue, with hotspots identified and increased patrols and engagement with local businesses in those areas to reassure and identify issues. Regular engagement events have also been held including joint events with neighbourhood watch and partner agencies.St Neots Tackling e-scooters in St Neots Educated members of the public and children with posters and presentations. Also carried out enforcement action. Tackling anti-social behaviour in St Neots Carried out meetings with local MP representative to address concerns raised by constituents, completed walk arounds in Loves Farm with ward councillor addressing concerns and supported with their bid for CCTV around station square. Numerous stop searches carried out and individuals put forward for our Op Guardian programme.Huntingdon Business Against Crime pub watch meeting attended for concerns raised by public houses and RAO meeting attended for concerns around certain shops. Visits carried out to businesses in the High Street and immigration enforcement days completed at nail bars and barbers.St Ives & Ramsey Anti-social behaviour including street drinking in St Ives Worked collaboratively with local councillor to identify a gap in CCTV coverage at ASB hotspot (bus station), secure funding, and procure several cameras which will provide a ASB and crime deterrent and provide investitive opportunities for future incidents.
