Patrols to address rural crime

Dear Resident,

To some, rural crime and hare coursing may not seem like a major issue, but to residents and farmers in the rural parts of Peterborough, this can have a significant impact on their work and livelihood.

While on patrol in Newborough earlier this week, we came across some damage to fields which was caused by vehicles being driven in a reckless and anti-social manner.

Officers will continue to patrol the rural areas in both high-vis and unmarked vehicles in a bid to tackle rural crime and identify those causing any issues. You may not always see us out and about, but we could be there.

Any suspicious activity can be reported to us by calling 101 or online.

If a crime is in progress, or someone is in immediate danger, always dial 999.
