21 tickets issued during bus depot patrols

Dear Resident,

We have recently received numerous complaints from local businesses about people using the bus depot to park while picking up deliveries in Lincon Road. This often causes an obstruction for long periods of time.

These obstructions are causing unnecessary traffic as the buses are unable to get into the depot.

In addition to this, we have also received reports of bus staff receiving verbal abuse and threats when they asked drivers to move their cars.

Our neighbourhood officers recently spent three hours of their shift in the area and issued 21 Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) to drivers who had left their vehicles causing an unnecessary obstruction.

While they cannot be everywhere all the time, they will be in the area when they can and will be taking a no tolerance approach towards this issue.
