An update from your local neighbourhood team |

Dear Resident,
Your local neighbourhood officers have been busy over the couple of weeks with addressing the priorities that were determined by your feedback.
Speeding in rural villages A couple of our specials recently spent some time in Bainton conducting speed checks as part of our priorities. Words of advice were given to drivers who were marginally over the speed limit, and other drivers were reported for excess speed. Unfortunately for one driver, they were found to be driving while uninsured and had to find an alternative way home as their car was seized.
Parking issues around schools The team have been out on patrol at numerous primary and secondary schools across the sector to deal with concerns such as:
Tickets have been issued to those found to be parked in an obstructive manner, and advice given on the dangers of parking within the restricted zones.
They were also joined by colleagues from the council’s traffic enforcement team at Jack Hunt and Thorpe Primary School. Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) were issued for parking, and a disabled badge was seized for being incorrectly used.
If you want to keep up with the work that is being done in your area, you can follow ‘Policing Peterborough’ on Facebook or find out more on our website.
