Dear Resident,

Back in March, our city centre neighbourhood officers attended Wellington Street car boot in the city centre in response to the community’s concerns about the sale of suspected stolen goods.

While we were there, one group made a swift exit and abandoned almost £1,000 worth of suspected stolen items including chocolate, chewing gum, deodorant, and washing products.

As proof of ownership of the items were not provided, the items have been donated to Rape Crisis Peterborough after they were nominated by the Police and Crime Commissioner. The goods will be used in care packages which are tailored to the needs and circumstances of the recipient.
