We are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a collision between a motorbike and JCB.

Officers and paramedics were called to the junction of London Road and Shelford Road, near Harston, at about 5pm yesterday (5 June).

The blue Honda NC750X motorbike travelling towards Harston was involved in the collision with the JCB tractor heading in the opposite direction and turning right into Shelford Road.

The motorbike rider, a 44-year-old man from Cambridge, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge.

The driver of the JCB, a 29-year-old man from Newton, was uninjured and remained at the scene.

Sergeant Dan Newton said: “This collision has left the motorbike rider with very serious injuries.

“I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to get in touch with us.”
